So earlier this year, I came across a book called THE SMART WOMAN by Arese Ugwu. This book is gold! It is a simple guide to saving money with a relateable case study. This book breaks down the complicated relationship women – African women to be exact – have with money. It’s a touchy subject that no one wants to get into, because of fear of being judged. As African women, we are used to money being a man’s problem. Our Fathers were bread winners and paid the bills. And now we have passed that responsibility on to our husbands. This book helps us with ways to tackle money issues head on and successfully.

I have never been good at saving. I always find myself treating myself every month. And before I know it, the month is gone and I’m broke. But this book gave me great saving method that has made a difference. Arese also introduced the topic of investing. This is like the green-eyed monster for many people. We all know someone’s friend’s uncle’s sister who invested in shares or something and lost everything and suddenly that is your big reason for not investing. The truth is investing is the best thing you can do for your money. Once your returns start coming, trust me it will be so good. That is what they Passive Income. When you make income in your sleep.

This book is a must read for every young modern woman who wants to have control of her finances like boss. The E-book is available for download on this website! Download it, read it and start working on those financial goals!
